Stopped in while traveling for a conference. The food was amazing! We tried the shaking beef-amazingly tender and flavorful without being over salty and the combination fried rice which was light and seasoned. The service left space for us to engage with each other but were quick to come by if we summoned. The restaurant was spacious and had comfortable booths as well as videos of the food and drinks which was helpful for those not familiar with Vietnamese food. Definitely check this place out!

My husband and I wanted to try new local takeout (we live in Herndon) and came across Saigon Bistro after a quick Yelp search. I ordered the Vermicelli Pick 3 with grilled shrimp and the portion size was huge for takeout! 3 big skewers of delicious grilled shrimp and the pickled veggies added a nice touch. My husband raved about his Beef Banana Flower salad (I'm going to try the Lotus salad next) and also enjoyed his pho. Big portions all around and great takeout packaging. I'm recovering from being sick and appreciated being able to order a side of pho broth for $6. We will definitely add this to the rotation!

I got the house special pho Dac Biet ($17) and a viet iced coffee ($6). The food came out in about 8 minutes. The broth was quite solid, very savory and hot (temperature wise). There was a fair amount of meat and the overall quality of it tasted really well. The coffee was very solid. Sweet and strong , although it seemed that the to go cup had a bigger portion. Overall a very solid Vietnamese restaurant with good pho and coffee. I would come back again! Food(50%): 7.4 Staff/service(25%): 6.5 Value(25%): 6.5 Overall: 7.0/10

Discovered this lovely place on a whim, and it's now my favorite Vietnamese hot spot. Their rice, vermicelli and pho are some of the most authentic dishes I have had in years. Not only were they delicious, the staff were friendly and it's at a great (convenient) location. Highly recommend!

I will gladly glom on to all the glowing reviews of Saigon Bistro with a 4 STAR rating for my first visit (a to-go order)...reserving the extra 1 star for future visits. Rarely do I give 5 stars right off the bat on a first visit - the place has to be extra special in all respects to get that (feel free to read my 5 star reviews!). In this case, I was dining solo for dinner and decided to go carryout and had a hankerin' for Vietnamese. What did I do? I turned to my trusty guide, Yelp - and found Saigon Bistro close by (right on my route home) with over 70 reviews showing an overall 5 star rating - SOLD. (Also I am always game for adding new high quality places to my repertoire.) I perused their menu (I like perusing a recent pic of the menu on Yelp vs an online menu which could have deceptively elevated delivery prices), checked out the prices and food pics and decided on a single to go item - their Classic (Grilled Meat) Rice Platter $18. I thought about adding an order of spring rolls but asked how much and was told $8 which I felt was overpriced so just went with the rice platter. I came to pick up my order (it was around 6:30PM) - the place is in the Community Plaza in Sterling off Rt 7 near Dranesville Rd - in same plaza as Joann's, Party City (that may not be there long since it announced its bankruptcy), Lidl and Burlington Coat Factory. The place is small inside. Clean but reallly basic and not very invitingly or impressively decorated tbh. The lighting is very harsh at night (bright vs warm white lighting), the tile flooring gives the place an overall cold vibe and the decor is uninspiring. I wish they would have made the inside more inviting and cozy. It's fine for what it is and if you don't care about ambiance and care more about the food, then all good. Generally I'm not a big fan of carryout for Vietnamese because it's so easy to mess up carryout Vietnamese dishes specifically but I took a chance and I have to say that my dish was EXTREMELY WELL PACKAGED. Impressive, truly. (Check out my pics and vid!) Food taste? EXCELLENT. Really good. I got the Classic Rice Platter which had rice (duh), pork chop which had a decent amount of meat on the bone and was grilled to perfection - not tough but tender lean and full of flavor, shredded pork and a meat cake served with a refreshing side salad and sauce on the side. Portion size was decent, price was a tad on the high side but willing to pay a bit more for the higher food quality. (FYI - difference between Saigon Rice Platter (vs Classic Rice Platter which I got) is a shrimp cake added but for the extra $3 not worth the higher price imo.) Service was pleasant and friendly. Easy in and out with loads of lot parking. I was told this place opened in Feb (2024). The place is a bit hidden in the plaza so I hope they do well - the high ratings and good reviews hopefully will help. I hope to come back with my crew to try some other dishes including Pho and Vermicelli Bowls.

I cannot rave enough about Saigon Bistro. Every time I come here and try something new, I'm more and more grateful that this restaurant is here. Every meal I've had is delicious and reminds me of my mom's home cooking. From the crab noodle soup to the rice vermicelli bowl, the flavor is delicious and portions are plentiful. My main complaint about Vietnamese restaurants in the nova area is that it's always pho and only pho. Vietnamese cuisine has so much to offer and has multitude of varieties of dishes. This is why I love Saigon Bistro so much and am grateful for their menu offerings. They give me a taste of the dishes I love from Vietnam. The staff is incredibly attentive and nice. They are quick and always notice when I'm running low on water. The ambience is beautiful with the lanterned hallway and clean interior. I honestly can't pick a favorite from their menu because every time I try something, I always say, so good! Try anything on their menu and you and your stomach will not be disappointed.

This place is a real gem. This place has excellent reviews for good reason Very friendly service--the staff even went out of their way to recommend certain foods they thought would be easier for our kiddo to chew which we appreciated . Lovely space with some bopping club music. Here are the items we tried, all of which were fresh and didn't seem packed with msg and salt: Woven noodle rolls with betel leaf wrapped beef and pork sausage Pho with beef eye round, bible tripe, and soft tendon (which came with culantro not cilantro which tickled me) Saigon Bun vermicelli noodle bowl with spring roll, shrimp cake, and grilled pork

This is in the old Pho Vietnam location but it certainly is NOT the same place bc the menu is amazing offering fresh spins on Vietnamese food and the classics. I went w the Bone in Short Rib Pho and it was SLAMMING! The broth was so flavorful before I even added lime, mint, basil, sriracha or anything. I checked in after I had wrapped up eating and saw I got a 20% off coupon which is awesome but I will need to use it on my next visit so I guess I'll have to come back lol! So happy the new owners not only have elevated the menu and quality of food but also gave it a fun decorative face lift to go along with the new name as well:

Exceptional flavor! I've eaten at quite a few Vietnamese restaurants in my life, and I think this is the best one. I was able to take a picture of the two rice platters I got, but not the pho and chicken noodle soup. Beef ribs platter: Ribs had a good amount of meat on them - Very good. Fish sauce is wonderful. Choose your own platter: Meat #1: Pork Chop. Meat #2: Shrimp Skewer. Meat #3: Sausage. Good portion. Pork chop was the best Vietnamese pork chop I've had in my life. Super tender and flavorful. Shrimp skewer was good, but FYI it wasn't on a skewer. Sausage was decent - I'm not a big sausage person, but my boyfriend picked this one and he really liked it. House Special Pho: Delicious. A tad salty where you probably can't drink the broth on its own but it had one of the strongest beefy flavors. Chicken Noodle Soup: This one was delicious as well BUT it was lacking in meat. I received very little for $17 and the shredded meat I did get was just OK. If bigger pieces of chicken were in here, it would be perfect! Didn't eat inside but it looked nice and was fairly cool on a hot summer day. Overall, this place has amazing flavors and puts care into their dishes. Friendly person at the front.
